Horse that’s chewing wood

If you give a horse that’s chewing wood a green branch from an Ash tree it will…

We know so little. If you give a horse that’s chewing wood a green branch from an Ash tree it will avidly devour it and if you had a good supply and let the horse eat the branches for a day or two it would cease wood chewing.

If you extracted the phloem from the branches and fed it to the horse it would stop wood chewing. If you then dried the Phloem and extracted its mineral content and fed it, the horse would stop wood chewing. If you then analysed the extract of the minerals and then made up a mineral very carefully from industrial minerals i.e. mined minerals as is used in horse feeds and fed them there would be no guarantee that the horse would stop wood chewing.

Such an example was one of the intangibles that has made us pioneer EquiNourish and in doing we are like Saul becoming Paul (note we avoid reference to the Saint prefix). Having broken free from the commercial constrains of working for the largest feed companies in the world, studying, calculating and creating the most advanced mathematically correct nutritional programmes for animals.

Working as Trinity Consultants gives us the opportunity to start thinking about what the animal wants as opposed to what we think because we know best by what it should have. OK if we are going to produce animals to feed the world then we have got to be practical about it and develop all the techniques for them to thrive on behalf of mankind but the Horse, do not include the horse, the horse is our friend and we cry when they die.
